Sorry for the vague description I honestly have no idea what caused the exception. I did move the mouse, but don't think I clicked on anything, but really not sure.
Will send email with Log project I was working on. Tracker gave a bad gateway error when I tried to attach both files.
I opened the project, went to page 1 and hit the Go button, then "reset machine" a few times then at some point got the exception.
I have not been able to recreate the problem but will keep trying.

Etoys 4.1 alpha 2 - Got an exception log attached
The debug log you attached shows a different problem. It is about the error you get when you have a shift-selection and choose "add or remove items" from its halo menu.
